GROWLITHE

This is Growlithe. He is a basic fire Pokemon. He is one of my personal favorites from the original Pokemon group. Growlithe evolves in Arcanine. Growlithe has also been on my daughter’s “To Do” list from the beginning of the list. There has been a Hisuian version released as part of the preview of Pokemon Legends Arceus. Not sure how I feel about these new versions. I know that I was furious when they released the Alolan versions of Vulpix and Ninetales. This pattern includes the color lists for both Growlithe and Shiny Growlithe.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis): Orange (golden yellow), black, buff (off white), café latte, and white.
F crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With orange, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)

Using white and black, embroider EYES on HEAD. Using black, embroider MOUTH and NOSE on MUZZLE.

HEAD HAIR:
Fringe on pieces of buff on top of HEAD.

EARS (MAKE 2):

Rw 1: With café latte, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (5)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (5)

OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With orange, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (5)

Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to HEAD. Weave in ends.

TAIL FLUFF:
Rw 1: With buff, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next sc, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, (ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch) twice.
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in evenly across straight edge of Rw 1. (9)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

TAIL:
