DUNSPARCE

Dunsparce is also another Pokemon on my daughter’s always growing “To Do” list that she gave me when Pokemon Go came out. Dunsparce was one of the original ones on the list and it has taken a customer on Etsy asking me to make one to finally get to it. This pattern includes the color lists for both Dunsparce and Shiny Dunsparce.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis): Lemon, pale yellow, aqua (perfect pink), black, and white.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With lemon, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36)
Rds 7-12: sc in each sc around. (36)

Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (9) Change to aqua.
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (9)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (11) Change to pale yellow.
Rws 5-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (11) Change to aqua after Rw 6.
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog. (9)
Rw 8: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (9)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog. (7)
Rw 10: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (7) Change to lemon.
Rd 11: Ch 1, evenly sc around outside edge with 3 sc in each corner, slip st in first sc.
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew BACK STRIPES to BODY. Weave in ends.

BELLY:
Rd 1: With aqua, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (36)

Rd 1: With aqua, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew CHIN SPIKES to BELLY stuffing before closing. Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With pale yellow, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12) Change to aqua.
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EYES to BODY. Using black, embroider dividing lines on EYES. Weave in ends.

SMALL WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rds 3-4: sc in each sc around. (6)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

LARGE WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (9)
Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around. (12)

DO NOT FINISH OFF.

WING BODY:
Rd 1: holding next sc on LARGE WING and first sc on SMALL WING together and working through both thicknesses, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 8 sc on LARGE WING, sc in next 4 sc on SMALL WING. (12)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (8)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff WINGS firmly. Sew WINGS to BODY. Weave in ends.
