This is a baby version of the Nike Air
Jordan 1 shoes that I have made in the past.
I hardest part of making this pattern was figuring out where the color
changes needed to happen.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Red, black and white.B and E crochet hook
Tapestry needle
SOLE AND SIDES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With
red, ch 10, 2 hdc in second ch from hook, hdc in next 7 ch, 5 hdc in next ch
working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, hdc in next 7 ch, 3 hdc
in next ch, slip st in first hdc. (24)Rd 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in next 2 hdc, hdc in next 7 hdc, 2 hdc in next 5 hdc, hdc in next 7 hdc, 2 hdc in next 3 hdc, slip st in first hdc. (34)
Rd 3: Ch 1, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc) twice, hdc in next 7 hdc, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc) 5 times, hdc in next 7 hdc, (2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc) 3 times, slip st in first hdc changing to white. (44)
Rd 4: Working in back loops only, ch 1, hdc in each hdc around, slip st in first hdc changing to red. (44)
Rd 5: Ch 1, sc in next 4 hdc, change to black, sc in next 36 hdc, change to red, sc in next 4 hdc, slip st in first sc.sc in each hdc around, slip st in first sc. (44)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
HIGH TOP SIDES (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With
right side facing, skip next 8 sc from red sc of Rd 5, attach black in
next sc, ch 1, working toward back of shoe, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in
next 8 sc, change to red, sc in next 8 sc, change to black, sc in next 9 sc,
leave remaining sc unworked. (26)Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 7 sc, change to red, sc in next 8 sc, change to black, sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog. (24)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 6 sc, change to red, sc in next 8 sc, change to black, sc in next 6 sc, sc2tog. (22)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 8 sc, change to red, sc in next 6 sc, change to black, sc in next 8 sc. (22)
Rws 5-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (22)
Rws 7-10: Ch 1, hdc in each st across. (22)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
SWOOSH APPLIQUE (MAKE 6):
Rw 1: With red and B hook, ch
10, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 5 ch, hdc in next ch, 2 hdc in next
ch, 5 hdc in next ch.Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew 2 SWOOSH APPLIQUES to sides of NIKE BABY AIR JORDAN 1 and sew 1 to INSTEP.
HIGH TOP STRAP (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With red, ch 27, hdc in second
ch from hook and in each ch across. (26)Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew HIGH TOP STRAP to NIKE BABY AIR JORDAN 1. Weave in ends.
INSTEP (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With red, ch 3, sc in
second ch from hook, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops
of foundation ch, sc in next ch. (5)Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc around. (10)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next 6 sc, sc in next 2 sc. (16)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 2 sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) 3 times, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, sc in next 2 sc. (22) Change to black.
NOW WORKING IN ROWS.
Rw 5: Ch 1, working along straight edge of Rds 1-4, sc evenly across straight edge. (9)
Rws 6-20: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (9)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
INSTEP ATTACHMENT:
Rw 1: Holding the side of Rw 16
of INSTEP and side of Rw 10 of HIGH TOP SIDE together and working through both
thicknesses, attach black, ch 1, sc in second Rw as attachment, sc evenly down
the HIGH TOP SIDES, around toe and back up HIGH TOP SIDES to Rw 10.Finish off. Weave in ends.
LACES (MAKE 2):
With black, ch 120. Finish
off. Weave LACES through sc of INSTEP
