JEWEL THE DOE


This is the next in a very long series of original creations from an Etsy customer that I have been asked to bring to life.  There have been times that he has tested my creativity with some of his creations.  Luckily, this was not one of those times.  Most of her was easy because of past characters that I have made for the same customer.  This customer also tends to order some of the most difficult Pokemon in the game.

TAIL (MAKE 2—1 IN TAUPE, 1 IN WHITE):
Rw 1:     Ch 5, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 3 ch.  (9)
Rw 2:     Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.
Finish off white TAIL.  DO NOT FINISH OFF taupe tail.
Rw 3:     Holding taupe and white TAILS together and working through both thicknesses, ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Using taupe tail, sew TAIL to BODY.

ANTLER PIECES (MAKE 4):
Rw 1:     With grey heather, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)
Rws 2-3:               Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew Rw 1 and Rw 3 together wrapping main post of ANTLERS around toothpick and branch of ANTLERS around floral wire.  Bend branch of ANTLERS and sew to main post of ANTLERS.  Sew ANTLERS to head of JEWEL THE DOE.

BODY SPOTS, MOUTH, NOSE, EYEBROWS AND EYES:
Embroider BODY SPOTS, MOUTH, NOSE, EYEBROWS and EYES on JEWEL THE DOE.

HAIR:
Using picture as reference, fringe on pieces of white yarn on head of JEWEL THE DOE.

UPPER ARM BANDS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1:     With café latte, ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (19)
Rw 2:     Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (19)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave in ends.  Using grey heather, embroider spikes on UPPER ARM BANDS.  Sew small snaps to each end of UPPER ARM WRAPS.  Place UPPER ARM WRAPS on JEWEL THE DOE.
