CLEFAIRY

This is the next Pokemon on the VERY LONG “To Do” list that my daughter gave me at Christmas time.  Clefairy is a huge fan favorite from the time that Pokemon was released, especially for Nurse Joy.  This pattern includes the color list for both Clefairy and Shiny Clefairy.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny color substitute in parenthesis): baby pink, perfect pink, coffee (green), burgundy, white, and black.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle

TOES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With baby pink, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: sc in next 10 sc, holding next sc on LEGS and first sc on flattened TOES together and working through all three thicknesses, sc in next 4 sc, sc in next 10 sc on LEGS.  (24)
Rd 6: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

FINGERS (MAKE 6—2 IN BABY PINK, 4 IN WHITE):
Rd 1: With baby pink or white, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: Attach baby pink in first sc of first white FINGER, ch 1, sc in same sc as attachment, sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc on second white FINGERS, sc in next 3 sc on first FINGER.  (12)
Rd 2: sc in next 6 sc, sc in next 6 sc on baby pink FINGER, sc in next 6 sc on ARMS.  (18)
Rd 3: sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 7 sc, sc2tog) around.  (16)
Rds 5-7: sc in each sc around.  (16)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Stuff ARMS firmly.

BODY:

Rd 3: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (16)
Rds 5-18: sc in each sc around.  (16)
STUFF HEAD CURL LIGHTLY.
Rw 19: Flatten HEAD CURL, working through both thicknesses, sc in next 8 sc.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew HEAD CURL to BODY.

CHEEKS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With perfect pink, ch 4, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 2 ch, slip st in first sc.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew CHEEKS to BODY.  Weave in ends.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 3, 2 sc in second ch from hook, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loop of foundation ch, sc in next ch, slip st in first sc.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew EYES to BODY.  Weave in ends.  Using white, embroider highlights on EYES.

MOUTH AND UNDEREYES:
Embroider MOUTH and UNDEREYES on CLEFAIRY.

WINGS (MAKE 4):
Rd 1: With baby pink, 12 dc in magic ring, slip st in first dc.  (12)
Rd 2: Ch3, tr in next dc, 2 tr in next dc, dc in next dc, 2 dc in next 2 dc, (dc, tr) in next dc, 2 tr in next dc, (tr, ch4, slip st, ch 4, tr) in next dc, 2 tr in next dc, (tr, dc) in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, slip st in first tr.
Finish off on first 2 WINGS.  DO NOT FINISH IN 3RD AND 4TH WINGS.
Rd 3: Holding wrong side of 2 WINGS together and working though both thicknesses, ch 1, sc in next 13 sts, 3 sc in ch-4 space, slip st in next st, 3 sc in ch-4 space, sc in next 8 sts, slip st in first sc.
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew WINGS to BODY.  Weave in ends.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With baby pink, 6 sc magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
BEGIN STUFFING TAIL LIGHTLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING TAIL LIGHTLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rd 4-48: sc in each sc around.   (18)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew open end of TAIL to BODY.  Roll TAIL up and secure.  Sew rolled section of   TAIL to BODY.  Weave in ends.
