PAW PATROL EVEREST

Paw Patrol Everest continues the series of Paw Patrol dogs.  Paw Patrol Everest is Siberian Huskie.  She is designed to be a snow rescue dog.  Paw Patrol Everest was easier than some because I alright had a pattern for a Huskie.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  Orchid (Hobby Lobby – I Love This Yarn), white, aqua, black, gold, delft blue and perfect pink.
D and Size 6 crochet hook
White and silver crochet cotton
Crochet cotton (or DMC floss): Aqua (3845) and gray (415).
Embroidery needle
Size 18 Aida cloth
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With orchid, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (18)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (27)
Rd 4: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times.  (31)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 49, pull tightly and secure.  Weave in ends.  Using gray, surface chain stitch up the front of PAW PATROL EVEREST BODY.

MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With white, 9 sc in magic ring.  (9)
Rd 2: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (15)
Rds 4-5: sc in each sc around.  (15)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew to BODY adding stuffing in MUZZLE before closing.

NOSE:
Rw 1: With black, ch 2, 3sc in second ch from hook.  (3)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew to MUZZLE.

EYES, EYEBROWS, EYELASHES, NOSE SPOTS, AND MOUTH:
Embroider EYES, EYEBROWS, EYELASHES, NOSE SPOTS, and MOUTH on PAW PATROL EVEREST.

SIDEBURNS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With orchid, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch.  (2)
Rw 2: Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch.  (2)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SIDEBURNS to head of BODY.

FRONT LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, 7 sc in magic ring.  (7)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (14)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (21)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (28)
Rds 5-7: sc in each sc around.  (28)
Rd 8: sc in next 8 sc, (sc2tog) 6 times, sc in next 8 sc.  (22)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SLEEVES to BODY covering FRONT LEG attachment.

BELT:
Rw 1: With gold, ch 45, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (44)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BELT to BODY.  Weave in ends.

COLLAR:
Rw 1: With black, ch 31, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (30)
Finish off leaving a long tail.

MEDALLION:
Using graph above, floss, and Aida cloth to cross stitch MEDALLION.
EDGING:
Rd 1: Attach gray floss and using Size 6 crochet hook in center of top of MEDALLION, sc in evenly around outside edge with 2 sc in each of Rws 16 and 14 and 2 sc in center of foundation ch, slip st in first sc, ch 10, wrap around COLLAR, slip st in first sc of EDGING.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Wrap COLLAR around neck of BODY and sew together.

FUR COLLAR:
Rw 1: With white, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (3)
Rws 2-25: Working in back loops only, sc in each sc across.  (3)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew FUR COLLAR to BODY covering COLLAR.

HIND LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With white, ch 15, sc in second ch from hook sc in next 12 ch, 3 sc in last ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 12 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (30)
Rd 2: (sc in next 14 sc, 3 sc in next sc) twice.  (34)

Finish off white TAIL.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff TAIL firmly.  Sew TAIL to BODY.

SIDE POCKETS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With aqua, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (3)
Rws 2-5: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around.  (3)
Finish off.  Using gold, whipstitch around outside edge of SIDE POCKETS.  Using gold, embroider buckle on SIDE POCKETS.  Sew SIDE POCKETS to BODY.

PUP PACK:
PUP PACK SIDES (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With aqua, ch 13, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (12)
Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (12)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

PUP PACK BODY:
Rw 1: With aqua, ch 11, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (10)
Rws 2-32: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (10)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew Rw 1 and Rw 32 together.  Sew SIDES to BODY stuffing before closing second SIDE.  Weave in ends.

PUP PACK POCKETS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With aqua, ch 17, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (16)
Rws 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (16)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; slip st in next 3 sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as last sc, sc in next 11 sc, leaving remaining sc unworked.  (12)
Rws 6-14: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (12)
Rw 15: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, change to grey heather, sc in next 4 sc, change to spring green, sc in next 4 sc.  (12)

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew PUP PACK POCKETS closed.  Using gold, embroider straps on PUP PACK POCLKETS.  Sew PUP PACK PCOKETS to PUP PACK.  Sew PUP PACK to EVEREST.

Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew SIDEBURNS to BODY.

HAT BODY:
Rd 1: With aqua, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
