BIRTHDAY CARE BEAR
This is the pattern for the Birthday Cupcake on Birthday Care Bear's belly. The Body and Detail colors that I used Birthday Care Bear is also included.
MATERIALS:
BODY COLOR: Red Heart Super Saver: #254 Pumpkin
#311 White
DETAIL COLOR: DMC Floss #921 Copper (4 Skeins)
HEARTS: DMC Floss #321 Red
#517 Dark Wedgewood
#519 Sky Blue
#608 Bright Orange
#741 Medium Tangerine
#3608 Very Light Plum
CUPCAKE TIN (#519)
Rw 1: Ch 17, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (15)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 13 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (17)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (17)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 15 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (19)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (19)
Rw 6: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 19 sc, 2 sc in next sc. (21)
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (21)
Finish off.
CUPCAKE TIN EDGING AND LINES (#517)
Attach to upper left corner of CUPCAKE TIN, ch 1, sc along edge to upper corner of CUPCAKE TIN with 2 sc in each bottom corner of CPCAKE TIN.
Backstitch six lines dividing the CUPCAKE TIN into 7 sections.
ICING (#3608)
Rw 1: Ch 7, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (25)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (25)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 21 sc, sc2tog. (23)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 19 sc, sc2tog. (21)
Rws 5-6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (21)
Rw 7: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 17 sc, sc2tog. (19)
Rw 8: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 15 sc, sc2tog. (17)
Rw 9: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (17)
Rw 10: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 13 sc, sc2tog. (15)
Finish off.
ICING EDGING (#3608)
Attach with slip st i first free loop of foundation, ch 1, sc in next 2 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, dc n next 17 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 2 ch, sc along edge of ICING with 2 sc in each corner. Finish off.
SPRINKLES (#321)
Use cross stitch and lazy daisy stitch to create heart shaped SPRINKLES. Ue picture for placement. Make them random sized.
CANDLE (#741)
Rw 1: Ch 9, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (7)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (7)
Finish off.
FLAME (#608)
Rd 1: Ch 3, 6 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc, ch 2, dc) in next sc, (dc, ch 2, sc) in next sc, slip st in next sc.
Rd 4: Ch 1, turn; skip next slip st, slip st in next sc, skip ch 2 space, slip st in next dc, ch 1, sc in same dc, sc in next dc.
Finish off.
