MINI T-REX

My wife asked me to make a bunch of mini dinosaurs to be used as party favors for her birthday party. I was able to find a pattern for mini triceratops and mini stegosaurus but could not find a pattern for a mini t-rex, mini brontosaurus, and mini pterodactyl that were available for free. So, I designed my own patterns for them. This is the pattern I came up with for a mini t-rex. This mini t-rex can be made in any color.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: body color (BC), spike color (SC), and white.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 6mm black safety eyes

BODY:
Rd 1: With BC, 6 sc in magic ring. (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 5: sc in each sc around. (24)
Rd 6: sc in next 6 sc, working in front loops only, sc in next 12 sc, working in both loops, sc in next 6 sc. (24)
Rd 7: sc in next 6 sc, working in back loops of Rd 5, (sc2tog) 6 times, working in both loops, sc in next 6 sc. (18)
Rds 8-10: sc in each sc around. (18)
INSERT SAFETY EYES IN RD 5.
Rd 11: sc in next 6 sc, bubble st in next sc, sc in next 7 sc, bubble st in next sc, sc in next 3 sc.
Rds 12-14: sc in each sc around. (18)
Rd 15: (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around. (12)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 16: sc2tog around. (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Weave tail through sc of Rd 16, pull tightly and secure. Using white, embroider teeth on BODY. Weave in ends.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With BC, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1)
Rw 2: Ch 2, sc in second ch from hook. (1)
Rw 3: Ch 1, working across straight edge of Rws 1 and 2, sc evenly across. (3)
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; sc3tog. (1)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew LEGS to BODY. Weave in ends.

TAIL:
Rd 1: With BC, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (6)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 5: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (8)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 7: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (10)
Rd 8: sc in each sc around. (10)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Stuff TAIL firmly. Weave in ends.

SPIKES:
Rw 1: With SC, ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch. (2)
Rws 2-5: Ch 3, sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next ch. (2)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew SPIKES to BODY. Weave in ends.
