MINI OCTOPUS

This was a request from my wife. She saw some Mini Octopuses that someone else made on the Internet. She asked me if I could make some. This is my answer to her.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Any color
D crochet hook
Polyester Fiberfil
Tapestry needle
1 set of 8 mm safety eyes

BODY:
Rd 1: With any color, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (32)
Rds 5-12: sc in each sc around. (32)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Insert safety eyes.

BOTTOM OF BODY:
Rd 1: With any color, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (32)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 5: Holding BODY and BOTTOM OF BODY together and working through both thicknesses, (sc in next sc, 3 hdc in next sc, sc in next sc, slip st in next sc) around.
Finish off. Weave in ends.
