SPEAROW

This is another request from a Pokemon-obsessed customer I have on Etsy.  He has told me that he has an intention to have me make a plush of every Pokemon in existence.  There are currently 807 Pokemon behind the unveiling of the Pokemon Sword and Shield in November 2019.  I have included the color lists for both Spearow and Shiny Spearow.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny color substitute in parenthesis):  Off white, black, café latte (leaf green), magenta (golden yellow), baby pink (pale yellow), and white.
F crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle
Chenille stem (cut in half)                                                                                                        

BODY:
Rd 1:      With off white, (3 sc, change to black, 3 sc) in magic ring, slip st in first sc.  (6)
Rd 2:      Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next 3 sc, change to off white, 2 sc in next 3 sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Rd 3:      Ch 1, turn; (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, change to black, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, slip st in first sc.  (18)
Rd 4:      Ch 1, turn; (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, change to off white, (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, slip st in first sc.  (24)
Rd 5:      Ch 1, turn; (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, change to black, (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 3 times, slip st in first sc.  (30)

Rd 21:    Ch 1, turn; sc in next 6 sc, change to black, sc in next 6 sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Rd 22:    Ch 1, turn; (sc in next sc, sc2tog) twice, change to off white, (sc in next sc, sc2tog) twice, slip st in first sc.   (8)
STUFF BODY FIRMLY.
Rd 23:    Ch 1, turn; sc in next 4 sc, change to black, sc in next 4 sc, slip st in first sc.  (8)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

TAIL FEATHERS:
Rw 1:     Working through both thicknesses of flattened Rd 23 of BODY, attach café latte in first sc, (ch 11, dc in third ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, hdc in next 3 ch, sc in next ch, slip st in next sc) 3 times.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.

FEET (MAKE 4):
Rw 1:     With baby pink, ch 2, sc in second ch from hook.  (1)
Rws 2-3:               Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc.  (1)
Rw 4:     Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc.  (2)
Rw 5:     Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (2)
Rw 6:     Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc across.  (4)
Rw 7:     Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (4)
Rw 8:     Ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, skip next sc, slip st in next 2 sc, ch 4, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, slip st in next sc
Finish off leaving a long tail on 2 of the FEET.  Insert chenille stem through center on 2 FEET.  Sew 2 FEET together.

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1:     With baby pink, ch 7, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across.  (6)
Rws 2-4:               Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew Rw 1 and Rw 4 together.  Sew LEGS to FEET.

HIPS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1:      Working in end of Rows of LEGS, attach off white with slip st in any row, ch 1, sc in same row, 2 sc in next row, sc in next row, 2 sc in next row.  (6)
Rd 2:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (9)
Rd 3:      (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (12)
Rd 4:      sc in each sc around.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Stuff HIPS firmly.  Sew HIPS to BODY.

HEAD
Rd 1:      With café latte, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4:      (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5:      (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rds 6-8:                sc in each sc around.  (30)  Change to black.
Rds 9-10:              sc in each sc around.  (30)
Rd 11:    (sc in next 3 sc, sc2tog) around.  (24)
Rd 12:    (sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog) around.  (18)
Rd 13:    (sc in next sc, sc2tog) around.  (12)
STUFF HEAD FIRMLY.
Rd 14:    sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 14, pull tightly and secure.

HEAD FEATHERS:
Feather 1:            Working over sc of Rd 8 of HEAD, attach café latte, ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch, slip st in next sc of Rd 8.
Feathers 2-30:   Ch 6, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch, slip st in next sc of Rd 8.
Finish off.  Weave in ends.  Sew HEAD to BODY.  Weave in ends.

BEAK:
Rd 1:      With baby pink, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (6)
Rd 3:      sc in each sc around. (6)
Rd 4:      (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (8)
Rd 5:      sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (8)
WORKING IN ROWS.
Rw 6:     Ch 1, sc in next 3 sc, leaving remaining sc unworked.  (3)
Rw 7:     Ch 1, turn; sc in next sc, sc2tog.  (2)
Rw 8:     Ch 1, turn; sc2tog.  (1)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew BEAK to BODY adding a small amount of stuffing before closing.

EYES:
Embroider EYES on SPEAROW.

WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1:      With magenta, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2:      2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3:      (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4:      (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (20)
Rd 5:      (sc in next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (22)
Rds 6-10:              sc in each sc around.  (22)  Change to baby pink after Rd 10.
Rd 11:    sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (22)
Rd 12:    Ch 1, turn; (sc in next 9 sc, sc2tog) around, slip st in first sc.  (20)
Rd 13:    Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc around, slip st in first sc.  (20)

    1. I am currently working on Gen 6 and 7 pixel art of Pokémon. They are taking a while to do since they are more detailed. I will send you a message when they are up on here.
