RIBOMBEE

This is the next Pokemon on a long list that my daughter has given me.  Ribombee reminds her of a bee.  She likes to point out thinks that look like bees since that is our last name.  Most of the others on her list are from the first six generations.  I am trying to expand on my patterns from the Sun and Moon generation of Pokemon before going back to the other six generations.  This pattern includes both color lists for Ribombee and Shiny Ribombee.

MATERIALS:
Worsted Weight Yarn (Shiny colors in parenthesis):  White, gold (baby pink), black, café latte (burgundy), gray, and warm brown.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Yarn Needle
2 chenille stems

HEAD:
Rd 1: With gold, 6 sc in magic ring.  (6)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (18)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (30)
Rd 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (36)
Rd 7: slip st in first sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as slip st, sc in next 12 sc, change to white, sc in next 4 sc, change to gold, sc in next 2 sc, change to white, sc in next 4 sc, change to gold, sc in next 13 sc, slip st in first sc.  (36)
Rds 8-11: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 12 sc, change to white, sc in next 12 sc, change to gold, sc in next 12 sc, slip st in first sc.  (36)

BEGIN STUFFING HEAD FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING FIRMLY AS YOU GO ALONG.
Rd 18: sc2tog around.  (6)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Weave tail through sc of Rd 18, pull tightly and secure.

EYES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (4)
Rd 2: Working in free loops of foundation ch of Rd 1, 2 sc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, working in sc of Rd 1, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, slip st in first sc.  (12)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Embroider white and warm brown eye spots on EYES.  Sew EYES to HEAD.

EYEBROWS:
Fringe piece of white onto HEAD.

MOUTH:
Embroider MOUTH onto RIBOMBEE.

ANTENNA (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Rd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (5)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (5)
Rd 5: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc.  (6)
Rd 6: sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc.  (5)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around.  (5)
Rd 8: sc in next sc, sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc.  (4)
Rd 9: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew ANTENNA to HEAD over piece of chenille stem.  Weave in ends.

BODY:

Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (8)
Rds 3-6: sc in each sc around.  (8)
STUFF ARMS AND LEGS FIRMLY.
Rd 7: sc2tog around.  (4)
Rds 8-18: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Insert chenille stem in ARMS and LEGS.  Sew ARMS and LEGS to BODY.
