SHOES FOR MONKEY

This pattern is for the shoes that were originally designed to go along with Charlotte Chimp’s dress but can actually be used whether the monkey is made to be as a boy monkey or girl monkey.  When making the shoes for Monkey, omit putting the Bottom Leg Large Toes.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Lemon (can be made in any color)
F crochet hook
Tapestry needle

SHOES (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: Ch 6, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 3 ch, 3 sc in next ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in each ch.  (12)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.  (24)
Rd 3: 2 sc in next 2 sc, sc in next 20 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc.  (28)
Rd 4: sc in each sc around.  (28)
Rd 5: sc in each sc around, sc in next sc.
Rd 6: sc in next 8 sc, (sc2tog) 6 times, sc in next 8 sc, sc in next sc.
Rd 7: sc in next 6 sc, (sc2tog) 5 times, sc in next 6 sc.  (17)
Rd 8: sc in each sc around.  (17)
Finish off.  Weave in ends.
