Worsted weight yarn:  Brown, red, lt. blue, and gold

D crochet hook (Adjust to change size of boots)

Tapestry needle

 

BOOTS (MAKE 2)

Rd 1:   With Brown, ch 14, 4 dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in next 8 ch, 9 dc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, dc in next 8 ch, 4 dc in next ch, join with slip st to top of ch-3.  (34)

Rd 2:   Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in same dc as beginning dc, 2 dc in next 4 dc, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next 9 dc, dc in next 8 dc, 2 dc in next 4 dc, join.  (52)

Rd 3:   Ch 2 (counts as first hdc here and throughout), working back loops only, hdc in each dc around, join.  (52)  Change to red.

Rd 4:   Ch 1, sc in each hdc around, join. (52)

Rd 5:   Ch 1, sc in next 16 sc, (dc2tog) 9 times, sc in next 18 sc, join.  (43)

Rd 6:   Ch 3, dc in next 11 sc, (dc2tog) 9 times, dc in next 13 sc, join.  (34)

Rd 7:   Ch 3, dc in next 7 dc, (sc2tog) 9 times, dc in next 8 dc, join.  (25) Change to lt. blue.

Rd 8:   Ch 1, sc in next 8 dc, dc in next 3 dc, working in back loops only, dc in next 3 dc, working in both loops, dc in next 3 dc, sc in next 8 dc, join.  (25)

Rd 9:   Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.  (25)

Rd 10:            Ch 2, hdc in each sc around, join.  (25)

Rds 11-16:     Repeat Rds 9 and 10 three times respectively.  (25)

Rd 17:            Repeat Rd 9.  (25)

Rd 18:            Ch 1, sc in next 7 sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next 3 sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next 3 sc, hdc in next sc, join.  (25)  Change to brown.

Rd 19:            Ch 1, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next dc, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc, sc in next 10 sts, 2 sc in next dc, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next dc, sc in next st.  (29)

Finish off.

TONGUE

Rw 1:  Working in free loops of Rd 7, sc in next 3 sts.  (3)

Rw 2:  Ch 3, turn; dc in same sc as ch 3, 2 dc in next 2 sc.  (6)

Finish off.  Sew to BOOT

 

STAR (MAKE 1 FOR EACH BOOT)

Rd 1:   With gold, 10 sc in a magic ring, join.  (10)

Rd 2:   (slip st in next sc, ch 2, dc in next sc, ch 2) around, join.

Finish off.  Sew STAR to side of BOOT to use to identify which BOOT goes on which foot.

 

FRINGE

With gold, cut 14 8” pieces of yarn.  Attach fringe to back of BOOT from Rd 11 to Rd 17.
