SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS

This is a pattern of SpongeBob Squarepants from the popular television and movies by the same name from MTV Networks.  This is the larger version pattern that I mentioned in the pattern for Little SpongeBob Squarepants.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn:  yellow, brown, red, white, black, blue, gold, and pink.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

BODY PIECES:
Follow the graph below to make the body pieces for SpongeBob Squarepants.  Each square on the graph equals one sc.

FRONT:

BACK:

SIDES (MAKE 2):  PEACH SQUARES INDICATE WHERE ARMS ARE ATTACHED.

TOP:

BOTTOM:
Rw 1: With brown, ch 31, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across.  (30)
Rws 2-10: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (30)

LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With black, ch 13, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 9 ch, 3 sc in last ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 9 ch, 2 sc in next ch.  (24)
Rd 2: sc in next 11 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 sc, 3 sc in next sc.  (28)
Rd 3: sc in next 12 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 12 sc, 3 sc in next sc.  (32)
Rds 4-6: sc in each sc around.  (32)
Rd 7: (sc2tog) 4 times, sc in next 11 sc, (sc2tog) 5 times, sc in next sc, sc2tog.  (22)
Rd 8: Flatten foot, working through last sc and first sc of Rd 7, sc in next 7 sc, turn foot inside out, sc in each remaining of Rd 7.  (8)  Change to white.
STUFF FOOT FIRMLY.  CONTINUE TO STUFF LEGS AS YOU GO.
Rds 9-12: sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to red after Rd 12.
Rd 13: sc in each sc around.  (8) Change to white.
Rds 14-15: sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to blue after Rd 15.
Rd 16: sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to white.
Rds 17-18: sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to yellow after Rd 18.
Rds 19-22: sc in each sc around.  (8)  Change to brown after Rd 22.
Rd 23: 2 sc in each sc around.  (16)
Rd 24: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around.  (24)
Rds 25-26: sc in each sc around.  (24)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew to BOTTOM of BODY.

ARMS (MAKE 2):
THUMBS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off.
FINGERS 1 & 2:
Rd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Finish off.
FINGER 3 AND ARM:
Rd 1: With yellow, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook working around ch.  (4)
Rds 2-4: sc in each sc around.  (4)
Rd 5: sc in next 2 sc on FINGER 3, sc in next 2 sc of FINGER 1, sc in each sc of FINGER 2, sc in next 2 sc of FINGER 1, sc in next 2 sc of FINGER 3.  (12)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around.  (12)
Rd 7: sc in each sc around THUMB, sc in each sc around HAND.  (16)
Rd 8: (sc2tog) twice, sc in next 12 sc.  (14)
Rds 9-11: (sc2tog) twice, sc in each sc around.  (8 after Rd 11)
BEGIN STUFFING HAND FIRMLY.  CONTINUE STUFFING ARM AS YOU GO.
Rds 12-19: sc in each sc around.  (8)
Finish off leaving a long tail.  Sew ARM to BODY at stitches indicated on graph of SIDES.
