SONIC THE HEDGEHOG RUBBER DUCK

This idea was put in my head by a co-worker. I adapted my rubber ducky pattern to look like Sonic the Hedgehog from the various games, movies, and shows.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: blue, buff, white, black, gold, and carrot.
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle

BODY:
Rd 1: With blue, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24)
Rd 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (32)
Rd 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (40)
Rd 6: sc in each sc around. (40)
Rd 7: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (48)

Rd 1: With gold, ch 18, slip st in first ch to form a ring, ch 1, (sc in next 2 ch, 2 sc in next ch) around, slip st in first sc. (24)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

WINGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With buff, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook. (4)
Rd 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in each sc around. (8)
Rd 3: Ch 1, turn; (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (12)
Rw 4: Working across the straight edge of Rds 1-3, sc evenly across. (7)
Rw 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sc, sc2tog. (6)
Rw 6: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (6)

Finish off leaving a long tail to sew BEAK to HEAD. Fold BEAK in half and sew to HEAD between the 11th and 12th rounds.

NOSE:
Rd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook. (4)
Rd 2: sc in each sc around. (4)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew NOSE to BEAK. Weave in ends.

EYES:
Using black, embroider the EYES on HEAD.

EYEBROW:
Rw 1: Working around edge of EYES, attach black, ch 1, sc evenly around outside edge of EYES. Finish off. Weave in ends.

EARS (MAKE 2):
INNER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With buff, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook. (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (3)
Rw 3: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. (4)
Finish off. Weave in ends.
OUTER EARS (MAKE 2):
Rw 1: With blue, ch 2, 2 sc in second ch from hook. (2)
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. (3)
