ANGEL

This is my take on an angel applique that I saw on Ravelry.com. I designed my version so that all of the pieces are connected as you make the angel.

MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: pale peach, gold, and white.
D crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Glue
gold chenille stem

HEAD:
Rd 1: With pale peach, 12 dc in magic ring, slip st in first dc. (12)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

WINGS:
Rw 1: With gold, ch 15, dc in third ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, sc in next 3 ch, slip st in next ch, sc in next 3 ch, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next ch. (13)
Rws 2-5: Ch 2, dc in next dc, hdc in next 2 hdc, sc in next 3 sc, slip st in next slip st, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 2 hdc, dc in next dc. (13)
Finish off. Weave in ends.

BODY:
Rw 1: With white, ch 14, dc in third ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next 3 ch, sc in next 3 ch, slip st in next 3 ch, working over center of WINGS, slip st in dc of HEAD,
Rw 2: Ch 1, turn; slip st in next 3 slip st, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 3 dc. (12)
Rw 3: Ch 2, turn; dc in next 3 dc, hdc in next 3 hdc, sc in next 3 sc, slip st in next 3 slip st, working over center of WINGS, slip st in same dc of HEAD as Rw 1.
Rw 4: Ch 1, turn; slip st in next 3 slip st, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 3 dc. (12)
Rw 5: Ch 2, turn; dc in next 3 dc, hdc in next 3 hdc, sc in next 3 sc, slip st in next 3 slip st, working over center of WINGS, slip st in same dc of HEAD as Rw 1.
Rw 6: Ch 1, turn; slip st in next 3 slip st, sc in next 3 sc, hdc in next 3 hdc, dc in next 3 dc. (12)

HALO:
Use gold chenille stem to create HALO.
