DR. WHO SOCK MONKEY
DR. WHO SOCK MONKEY
This is an adaptation of my SOCK MONKEY pattern. This was a request from my boss. This SOCK MONKEY is made to look like Dr. Who.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn: Gray, charcoal, café latte, coffee brown, yellow, burgundy, .
E crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Tapestry needle
1 set of 12mm safety eyes
5/8 in burgundy ribbon
ARMS AND LEGS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gray, 5 sc in magic ring. (5)
Rd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (10)
Rd 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (15)
Rds 4-25: sc in each sc around. (15)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff ARMS AND LEGS firmly.
TAIL:
Rd 1: With gray, 8 sc in magic ring. (8)
Rds 2-25: sc in each sc around. (8)
Finish off. Weave in ends. Stuff TAIL firmly.
MUZZLE:
Rd 1: With charcoal, ch 7, sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch, 3 sc in next ch working around ch, working in free loops of foundation ch, sc in next 4 ch, 2 sc in next sc. (14)
Rd 2: 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 3 sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc. (20)
Rd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc. (24)

MOUTH AND MOSTRILS:
Using black, embroider MOUTH and NOSTRILS on MUZZLE.
EARS (MAKE 2):
Rd 1: With gray, 14 sc in magic ring. (14)
Rd 2: Folding Rd 1 in half and working through both thicknesses, 2 sc in next 7 sc. (14)
Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew EARS to head of BODY.
JACKET:
Rw 1: With café latte, ch 51, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (50)
Rws 2-24: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. (50)
RIGHT SIDE:
Rw 25: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next 8 sc, leaving remaining sc unworked. (9)

Finish off. Weave in ends. Repeat in second ARMHOLE. Place JACKET on DR. WHO SOCK MONKEY and sew together.
